A new apron from Bragard USA, a branch of the French company that makes chef’s clothing and gear, provides welcome protection against kitchen splatter while contributing to a good cause. It’s bright blue and decorated with a familiar dove of peace holding a toque; the design was adapted by Polonsky and Friends from the dove Picasso created for Matisse. All the profits from sales are being donated to the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund established by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
